Jingdezhen Porcelain Gaiwan
Designed with a focus on the tea itself, this porcelain gaiwan draws from the proportions and functionality of professional tea evaluation ware.
Made from Jingdezhen porcelain clay and fired at approximately 1315°C, it features a thin body, smooth glazed surface, and gently flared form. The light interior offers a clear view of the liquor, while the thin walls and open shape allow aroma to unfold naturally and tea to pour cleanly.
Simple, balanced, and made for attentive brewing, it is a versatile gaiwan suited to a wide range of teas—from delicate oolongs and white teas to black and aged teas.
Natural Characteristics
The porcelain clay is minimally processed, allowing traces of its natural mineral composition to remain. Small iron spots or subtle variations may occasionally appear on the surface and are a natural characteristic of the material.
Due to the thin porcelain body and high-temperature firing, slight variations in form may occur. A small gap between the lid and bowl is normal and does not affect brewing or pouring.
